Where the grass is greener follows Hanna Lieng, a Norwegian street football player with a difficult past, who unexpectedly gets chosen as the captain for the Norwegian national team for the Homeless World Cup 2025.
Together with her teammates, each facing their own challenges, she embarks on a journey on the pitch where the team experiences both wins and losses. The participation in the cup creates community and new hope, where football is not just a sport, but a new beginning.
