At this year’s festival, we are excited to present a special conversation between two key figures in Nordic film: film expert Kalle Løchen and award-winning director Izer Aliu. In this workshop, audiences will get a rare chance to hear about filmmaking, film history, and the creative process behind some of the most powerful stories on screen.
During this masterclass, Løchen and Aliu will discuss films in general, the evolution of Nordic cinema, share personal experiences from their careers, and explore the challenges and triumphs of filmmaking. Through a great selection of film excerpts, including screenings of some of Aliu’s works, they will illustrate key elements of storytelling, directing, and film analysis, offering attendees a deeper understanding of cinematic artistry.
