We are happy to announce that “FILTHER”, the beautiful pre-apocalyptic love story by Simen Nyland, has been selected as the official opening film of WENIFF 2025.
So, what’s the story?
As the world stands on the brink of nuclear war, a man—born with a gas mask-like head—searches for love before it’s too late. His solitude is broken when a traveling circus arrives, and within it, a woman who may be his salvation. As one chapter closes, another begins.
With its special visuals and emotional depth, “FILTHER” is the perfect film to open this year’s festival.
